REMOTE MONITORING CCTV GUIDE
Remote monitoring is simply the monitoring of CCTV cameras from a location away from the site of the cameras.
Remote monitoring can be used to solve a wide range of problems including: security, remote staff surveillance, remote customer surveillance, domestic home monitoring, holiday home monitoring, and remote location surveillance (e.g. electricity relay stations).
IViewCameras has seven solutions capable of remote monitoring:
The TeleEye range of products:

The InControl Quadcam system:

Several factors need to be considered when choosing a remote monitoring solution:
-
Compression Technology - The most important factor for any remote monitoring system is the compression technology that is used to compress the video data so that it can be viewed over a network as close to real time as possible. These compression technologies allow users to view up to 25 frames per second (same rate as normal television) over a broadband connection.
