5-Jan-2010 scott gildert: will the Richtech colour intercom system work with an existing Electric lock which has a switch on the inside of the door so that the visitor can let themselves out

mark h: Yes, you will be able to wire it into the switch to open the lock from the monitor/control panel

6-Apr-2010 Azriden: Hi can this be connected to a dvr to allow recording of both Audio and video?

mark h: Yes it can, there is an Audio / Video out from the monitor, however the resolution from the camera is fairly low so through a larger monitor than the one provided or recording into a DVR the quality wont be anywhere near as good as a dedicated CCTV camera and DVR. The Audio on the camera as with all external audio devices will only work well if its mounted out of the wind and away from road noise etc

14-Aug-2010 Babak: Can I set whenever I`m not at home and some body come and push the button it triggered via DVR and send me a message to my iphone and I`ll be able to talk and watch the picture remotely?

mark h: No, this is just a stand alone video intercom, there isn't any DVR function, its simply a microphone and camera, a monitor and electronic lock control

19-Jul-2011 teena: i have no yale lock, just 2 key locks, what do i need to get in addition for the door to open and lock behind them?

mark h: This is designed primarily as an intercom system so you can see who is at your door from the safety of your home. It also has the function to be able operate an electric lock from a power supply instead of or in conjunction with a normal key or pin code system
