This PIR-based movement detector switches a camera between two states:

• Standby, where the camera controller will last for several months before the battery becomes exhausted
• On, where the camera is switched on and is transmitting video and audio

The internal battery has a long life (approx 3 months) and is user changeable. The camera may be controlled from up to 10 metres away using an open public frequency band. Software prevents electrical noise for switching on the camera when not required.

The remote, which is 60x40x15mm, may be attached, in seconds, to a wall or any other surface using double sided sticky pads. The PIR has a lens and has been selected to detect a human being up to 10m away.
