Main Product Comments, Questions and Answers

1-Feb-2010 james: Hi, do these vcameras also come with signs that say CCTV in operation to deter burglars?

mark h: We sell packs of 3 warning signs with a sticky front to put in windows for this purpose. The stock code is WARNINGSIGN

28-Mar-2011 yaso: Can this dome cameras be fixed inside the windows to get the view of outside? if so for how long?

jonathan s: I would not recommend fixing the camera inside. The IR would reflect off the window back at the camera meaning you wouldnt be able to see anything.

22-Apr-2010 Andy: The Dome camera you are selling, is it Sony product camera, RT1308D is your reference no's.

mark h: The CCD chip is Sony but the camera is manufactured by Richtech

17-Jul-2009 Laurie Olsen: My elderly mother wants a camera that will connect to her TV to see who is at her door - and not too pricey - what do you recommend?

mark h: Any of the cameras we sell will connect directly to a TV but it would require a composite connection - Yellow, White and Red. Only the yellow video signal will be used. An RCA cable and a power adapter would also be needed which we could supply. This camera would be a good option, however if you would like something a little smaller and more discreet take a look at the KPC136CT

24-Oct-2008 kelly harris: Can this camera be connected to a normal television

sajidH: The camera will need to go through either a DVR or a DVR capture card in a PC before you can link to a TV. Please call our sales line for more information.

27-Apr-2009 Jonathan: What cable does this camera use to take signal to DVR

mark h: BNC cable with power. Somthing like the 18MEXT or 36MEXT - if you are unsure and would like to speak to an advisor, please call 0844 412 4503

14-Jul-2011 Chris: Can you advise me of the dimensions and whether it would normally have a flashing LED when it is in operation. The reason I ask is that in the first instance I want to use it as a dummy deterrent with the option to connect it to a DVR at a later date so if it would normally have a flashing LED I would need to power it.

mark h: I will email you a diagram of the dimensions. There isn't a flashing light on these

31-Mar-2011 callum: does this spin ?

Sean: Hi, this is a vandal resistant dome camera and is static, it doesn't move.

26-Jul-2011 Prakash: Hi, I am looking for two cameras for outdoor with night vision, dome shaped and it should cover a wide area, also weather proof, which cameras do you recommend?

mark h: On the basis of what you require this camera would be more than suitable. Its is also resistant to moderate vandal attacks

14-Jul-2011 Sam: Hi, Could you please tell me the maximum current consumption with IR on for this camera? I am installing around 11 of these shortly and need to know the current consumption for PSU design. I assume around 600mA? Thanks

mark h: Hi Sam, The max current consumption is quoted at 380mA. We have had 8 running on a 8 x 500mA fused power box with no issues when the IR is on with 20m cable. We also sell 500ma and 1amp fused boxes if you require them. Thanks
